TaxWeek 2009
Welcome to the TaxWeek 2009.
Each year, the Irish Taxation Institute hosts "TaxWeek" - a week long campaign, focusing on what PAYE taxpayers and businesses should be getting from the tax system. In addition, during the week we will focus on how tax policy can be used to aid economic recovery, as well as profiling particular areas where Registered Tax Consultants can bring value in the form of essential guidance to business and individuals. TaxWeek 2009 runs from Sunday, June 14 to Saturday, June 20, 2009.

To launch TaxWeek 2009, the Irish Taxation Institute in conjunction with RedC conducted a poll entitled "Consumer Attitudes Towards Tax Issues". This poll was published in the Sunday Business Post - 14 June 2009. View the survey results here.

ITI launch series of Tax Guides |

As part of TaxWeek 2009, the Irish Taxation Institute launched a series of Tax Guides designed to help taxpayers understand the tax system and explain the different allowances and reliefs available. Tax Guides are available in a number of areas including:
- Income Tax and the Income Levy
- PRSI and Health Levy
- The PAYE Cycle
- Health Care Expenses
- Childcare Entitlements
- Tax Credits and Reliefs
- Capital Acquisitions Tax
- Changes in Personal Circumstances
- Stamp Duty
- Vehicle and Motor Taxes

Regional radio

Irish Times special report |

An Irish Taxation Institute special report was published in the Irish Times as part of TaxWeek 2009.
The special report included articles with Jim Ryan, ITI President, Olivia Lynch, ITI Deputy President and Andrew Cullen, ITI Vice President. Other contributors included members of the ITI management team and some key figures from the world of tax.
