Tipperary Institute students win Irish Taxation Institute Fantasy Budget Competition

Four third year students from Tipperary Institute are this year’s winners of the Irish Taxation Institute’s annual “Fantasy Budget” competition. Eimear Corbett, Elizabeth Davis, Lisa Ryan and Tara Ryan are pictured here at an awards ceremony in the Radisson Royal Hotel, Golden Lane, Dublin 8, with Olivia Lynch, President of the Irish Taxation Institute (centre). The judges were Brendan Keenan, Group Business Editor of the Irish Independent, and Jim Power, Chief Economist, Friends First.

This is the first time Tipperary Institute has submitted an entry. Interest and participation in the Fantasy Budget competition was greater than ever with applications from a large number of students from universities and colleges throughout the country.

The winning team were presented with their award at a special lunch on Monday 7 December, 2009, in the Radisson SAS Royal Hotel, Golden Lane, Dublin 8.
