ITI Addresses Over 600 SME Businesses During EU SME Week

As part of EU SME week the ITI, Small Firms Association, Enterprise Ireland, IBEC and County & City Enterprise Boards have been co-hosting a series of seminars for SME businesses to assist with their understanding of tax and other business and finance issues.  ITI gave advice around tax payment difficulties and the importance of early engagement with Revenue on the scheduling of debt. The Institute also stressed the importance of businesses seeking expert tax advice from Registered Tax Consultants and outlined the top 10 tax tips and traps for small businesses in the current economic climate.The remaining free seminars are available to book here or by LoCall 1890 546546.

Meanwhile, the EC have agreed proposals to provide 45,000 micro-loans over the next 8 years to encourage business start-ups and entrepreneurs. The facility will be operational from June 2010.  Read more here.
