Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning
ITI, the Institute of Bankers and LIA have jointly launched the Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning.
Registration is now open for September 2010 intake
Semester 1 (September 2010 to January 2011)
- Module 1 - Principles and Ethics of Personal Financial Planning
- Module 2 - Asset Management
Semester 2 (February 2011 to May 2011)
- Module 3 - Retirement Planning
- Module 4 - Tax and Estate Planning
Semester 3 (September 2011 to January 2012)
- Module 5 - Financial and Risk Management
- Module 6 - Integrated Personal Financial Planning
Launched in 2009, the Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning is a prestigious new qualification aimed at those who wish to develop their financial planning knowledge and skills to the highest international standards.
This is a joint initiative of the Irish Taxation Institute, the Institute of Bankers in Ireland and LIA. Delivered through the Institute of Bankers School of Professional Finance, the Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning is awarded on successful completion of the six modules.
This Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning also meets the main educational requirements for those who wish to apply for the prestigious, internationally recognised CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERâ„¢ or CFP® certification. Access to CFP certification will be open to holders of this Graduate Diploma who meet additional certification requirements, including the Certification Examination of Financial Planning Standards Board Ireland Limited (FPSB Ireland), a three year relevant experience requirement and a formal commitment to the ethics and professional standards required of CFP professionals.
Who is this programme aimed at?
This programme is ideal for AITI Registered Tax Consultants, QFAs, accountants, business graduates and holders of other professional qualifications. AITI Registered Tax Consultants are also eligible to apply for exemptions from the tax module.
