Though employers can take many different forms, from small start-ups to large multinational corporations, the same employment tax principles apply to every company, and all will need to have expertise – either internal or outsourced – in this area.

Recognising that a thorough understanding of current employment tax issues is a differentiator for people whose work includes responsibility for tax in today’s competitive environment, the Institute has designed a brand new course to equip participants with expertise in employment tax; from the basic application of PAYE, PRSI and USC, to the more complex areas such as foreign employments, pensions, employment termination and payroll audit.   Participants who opt to sit the exam and successfully complete it will be awarded the Irish Tax Institute Certificate in Employment Tax.  However, participants may attend the course as a refresher and it is not compulsory to sit the exam. Attendance at this course satisfies a full year’s CPD requirement. The course is delivered by expert practitioners in the area of employment tax, and includes comprehensive support materials.
